The Little Swiss Ski Chalet by Julie Caplin

Image
The perfect mini break to escape from the January blues.   The thought of food alone, would have most people picking up Julie Caplin’s latest book, I mean there is chocolate and cheese, cake and well more cake. But there is more to this story than the culinary delights, Mina, is a lost soul, who needs to find contentment and has the bravery to take time to take stock before she plans her next move.    Even before boarding the train to her godmother’s Alpine retreat, the weary food technologist is betrayed, humiliated, and on the verge of crossing a line with revenge. Let’s not talk about Smurf and Smurfette LOL. But it only takes a moment, one gentle push by fate to change the course of her destiny.   Fate lands Mina in the lap of a stranger, Luke, who has a past of his own. He is cute and a flirt but impulsive, the one thing that Mina is trying to avoid.     This 5-star read is more than just the words on the page, it is the vivid descriptions ...

Pound (Powertools: The Original Crew Returns #4) by Jayne Rylon

My favourite of the series so far.   Though James is a regular in the Power Tools series, Pound is his time to shine.   You could be forgiven for suggesting the Ms Rylon’s works are as much about her talent for coming up with new ways to place multiples in a sexy situation without it being gratuitous, but her stories are more that just making you flush behind your kindle. As her Middleton universe develops it is easy to see that her characters are more than skin deep.   James didn’t have the best childhood, but with the support of his family, he is able to move on with his life, but recent changes have taken their toll and he realises his is no longer satisfied. Is it possible for him to live the Crew? Can A ‘Robin’ be the one to save the day? Not all heroes wear a cape, but some would look darn sexy in one!   My thanks to Jayne Rylon for allowing me to review the  🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟  Pound   Purchase links:   Amazon UK:  https://www.amazon.co...

Dawn lost her heart once; it takes almost losing it again to make Dawn realise what’s worth fighting for.   Having shared an unforgettable moment months ago, Dawn finds herself needing Jake’s help when her son goes missing. Jake is more than willing to fly across the country to help the woman who stole his heart, even before she was free to give it. But with unfinished business out of the country will it be too late for this seasoned Seal to get his happily ever after?   Seal’s Angel is possibly my favourite story from Lynne St. James’s Black Eagles series. It has a depth to its story that has kept me glued to my phone, from Cindy and Chase’s antics, to the dramatic events whilst the Seal’s hunt their number one target, everything is poised to keep you turning the page.    I really enjoy and envy Ms St. James’s ability to bring her characters to life in her work, the continuity between each of the books in the series does not leaving you guessing where all the...
