The Christmas Countdown by Donna Ashcroft

A delightful read to get you into the spirit of the season, with or without gin.

I adored this book, the characters and the plot, the subtle underlying message or forgiveness and understanding, of others and more importantly ourselves.

Both Finn and Holly arrived on Sunflower island looking to escape and fine direction in life, be that hiding or walking into every opportunity with their socks pulled up and a grin and bare it acceptance.

My favourite part is the scene when Holly returns home and the inevitable confrontation with her sister. I've experienced some of what Holly felt at different points in my life and this scene between sisters was so realistic.

Its definitely ðŸŒŸðŸŒŸðŸŒŸðŸŒŸðŸŒŸ from me.

As usual, my thanks to #Netgalley and #Bookouture for allowing me to read and review the wonderful #TheChristmasCountdown by Donna Ashcroft
