Seal’s Sky by Lynne St. James

Seal’s Sky by Lynne St. James is the forth book in the Black Eagle series, where the f@&k em and chuck em Drew “Murph” Murphy falls hook, line and sinker for the woman he vows to protect, Jennifer Turner. Jennifer is the titular character in the book, forced to go by Sky in an effort to evade her abusive ex.

I enjoyed the depth Ms. St. James has written into her characters, combined with the camaraderie she has created within the team, makes for a well rounded story.

The topics covered with the plot are handled sensitively, given the nature of events for the main character and that this is a novella, not a novel. If you are looking for gratuitous sex scenes, you understandably wont find them here. For me that makes to budding relationship between Murph and Sky more realistic.

Though there were a couple of scenes which may come across rushed, they in no way take away from the plot.

It’s rare for me not to predict the twist in a tale but Ms. St. James writing caught me out and I didn’t see it come.

All in all, I throughly enjoyed this story, as I did the others in the series and it is more than deserved of a🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 rating.
