Summer Island by Natalie Normann


An enjoyable ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ read.

I really enjoyed Summer Island by Natalie Normann, it is an easy read that gave me an escape from the same four walls, whilst shielding in lockdown. The story is of coming home, even if you don’t know it, where new adventures await. I loved the practical Ninnie and the passionate Jack and the quirky cast of secondary characters. 
A cosy, comforting read set in Norway, the perfect escape in these strange times.

This Christmas by Emma Heatherington

  What a cosy feel, good read.   I love Emma Heatherington’s latest book, it combines some of my favourite things, cosy feels, a dog, a suitable love interest, the image of rural Ireland, and of course Christmas.    It is difficult to write something refreshing in the increasingly crowded market of festive fiction, but This Christmas is one of the standout stories of 2023, I highly recommend snuggling up with a mug of hot chocolate and something nice to nibble on whilst you are enveloped in this 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 star read. Probably the Best Kiss in the World by Pernille Hughes

I spent a weekend snuggled up in my living room with this  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ story, I enjoyed the characters almost as much as I wanted to knock some sense into them. Every single one of them was perfectly flawed, in as much I was rooting for them to succeed at the same time as shaking my head at their logic or lack thereof. It was most definitely the characters in this story that kept me reading, Jen being almost neurotic to Yakob.
