A Gift from the Comfort Food Café by Debbie Johnson Reviewed

I really enjoyed this latest story from Debbie Johnson’s Comfort Food Café series. From the first chapter, you can’t help but take the main character, Katie, to heart. The backstory at the beginning of the book gives you are a better understanding of her decisions, later on, the climax is almost heart-breaking.
Saul, her son, provides some comic relief, along with Van who I absolutely adore for his ability to understand Katie on a level most others don’t.
My favourite character is, as always, Auburn, I can’t wait for her story to be told.
#AGiftFromTheComfortFoodCafé is a wonderful read for a wintery afternoon, with a cup of coffee, or even like me, with thanks to #Netgalley and #HarperImpulse on a sunny autumn day with a glass of iced ginger ale

It's ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ from me.
